about

Album download features bonus track & 11-page digital booklet.

First full-lenth album from PEACEBIRD, fronted by Swedish singer/songwriter Johan Christher Schütz, and backed up by Swedish, Japanese and Brazilian musician friends in this mainly uptempo journey through soul / funk / urban / jazz / singer/songwriter landscapes.

Following the Japan release, all 9 songs on the album were played in radio stations all over the country, which is supposedly quite rare, and track 1, "Slow Down", was one of the most played songs of all.

After The Rain
Music & lyrics: J.C. Schütz.

This is my favourite time of day
It's as if you can hear the earth breathe
It always helps me find a way
Having endless skies above me
I've stopped looking, there's nothing here to find
I'm facing my illusions, I've made up my mind

I wait for the morning
I wait for the sunrise
With a heightened perception
After the rain
I wait for a moment,
A day or a lifetime
For a glimpse of perfection
After the rain

I've had my share of sweet mistakes
I've seen my blessings slowly crumble
But what we learn from our aches
Makes it easy to be humble
There's a diamond hidden in the pain
Just waiting to relieve you after the rain

I wait for the morning
I wait for the sunrise
With a heightened perception
After the rain
I wait for a moment,
A day or a lifetime
For a glimpse of perfection
After the rain

– saxophone solo –

I wait for the morning
I wait for the sunrise
With a heightened perception
After the rain
I wait for a moment,
A day or a lifetime
For a glimpse of perfection
After the rain
